Anne's Diary

We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year spent with our younger girls at home and then with our two older children, their partners and our grandchildren in the Midlands and Devon. Then it was back to work to complete the, as yet untitled, book to follow ‘A Daughter’s Secret’. Now it is May and with the new book with my editor and the paperback of ‘A Daughter’s Secret’ published on St. Patrick’s Day, the 17th March, a booksigning trip to the Midlands and the Black Country Big Book Fortnight to look forward to life continues at a hectic pace.

On the 6th of March I was at Denbigh Library for national book day and then, following publication, I was in the Midlands from the 18th to the 20th March doing stock signings in Birmingham and its districts, Walsall, Solihull and Birmingham International Airport. March finished with a signing at my local Waterstone’s in Llandudno and a talk at Ellesmere port Library on Friday 28th.

Because ‘A Daughter’s Secret’ was published in paperback so close to Easter my normal intensive trip following publication was divided and extended this time meaning that in April I was away from my desk again enjoying the company of some of my readers. I visited Waterstones in Walsall, a residential home in Aldridge, and libraries at New Invention, Beechdale and Walsall Wood, spoke at a writers lunch at Bodysgallen Hall and at the Canolfen Ucheldre Centre in Holyhead.

During May I have the pleasure of speaking jointly with my fellow midland writer, Annie Murray, on behalf of the Black Country Big Book Fortnight at the libraries listed below. This is a first for both of us and we are really looking forward to these events.
Please come and join us if you are near any of these venues.
